Production line introduction
How the PVB/SGP Film Extrusion Line is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the properties your customers actually buy.
The PVB/SGP film extrusion line is independently developed by the BENK team using advanced technology and is designed for high quality interlayer film production. Through a precise temperature control system and stable extrusion process, the uniformity and stability of each layer of film are ensured to meet the needs of the high-end market.
The company has many years of experience in equipment research and development and innovation, providing efficient, energy saving and low failure rate solutions to help customers improve production efficiency and reduce operating costs. The line adopts both the dry process and the wet process, so it can produce transparent, heat resistant, cold resistant and high strength film.

Production line technical advantages
Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the properties your customers buy: transparency, gauge, strength and surface.
Fully automatic loss-in-weight feeding system
Mixing accuracy reaches 0.2%, which is the foundation of consistent film gauge and optical quality.
Special thread design
Effective water removal and reduced resin viscosity value, so the product does not turn yellow during processing.
Large displacement gear pump and two-stage screen changer
Ensure stable extrusion and reduce shear heat, protecting the film from gel and degradation.
Automatic mould
Fast debugging, reduces waste and automatically fine-tunes the film thickness across the width.
Water-through water tank design
The overflow port discharges oil, the guide roller ensures uniform traction, and the sponge roller and water pressure roller drain the film, keeping temperature uniform.
Roller cooling system
Frosted roller and mirror roller cool quickly to ensure balanced temperature and a non-stick roller surface.
Fully automatic winder
Automatic cutting, air-inflating shaft and roll change improve efficiency and reduce operator workload.
Appearance and service
Simple and beautiful industrial design with RAL 5021 water blue semi-matt powder coating, plus high-end Siemens servo and Ethernet technical support and lifelong after-sales service.
Production line advantages
- High precision control — Advanced temperature control and pressure control systems are used to ensure uniform film thickness and stable performance.

Wide applicability
Typical end uses for the material this line produces, based on the applications BENK equipment already serves worldwide.

PVB film for laminated safety glass
The PVB film production line adopts both dry and wet processes to produce transparent, heat resistant, cold resistant and high strength films, which are widely used in the fields of automobiles, construction and bulletproof glass, providing excellent properties such as safety, sound insulation, light control and heat preservation, and are ideal laminated glass materials.
SGP film for structural glass
SGP film is a high strength, high elasticity ionic film. Its shear modulus is 100 times that of PVB and its tear strength is 5 times higher, with excellent weather resistance and excellent mechanical properties. The bearing capacity of SGP laminated glass is twice that of PVB laminated glass and its bending stiffness is only 1/4 of that of PVB.
Architectural curtain walls and high-rise exteriors
SGP interlayer film is widely used in ceiling glass, structural glass, high-rise exterior walls, glass curtain walls and other fields where post-breakage integrity matters.
Automotive and transport glazing
PVB interlayer film delivers acoustic, UV and impact performance for windscreens, side glazing and transport applications.
Options and auxiliary equipment
Configure the line for the market you sell into. Popular additions include:
- Wet process and dry process configuration
- Embossing unit for de-airing channels
- In-line thickness gauge with automatic die control
- Anti-blocking surface treatment
- Automatic roll handling and packing
- Edge trim recycling
- Clean room class film handling
Why buy from BENK Machinery
Extrusion specialists, not traders
BENK designs and builds extrusion lines in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R&D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.
Evidence before shipment
Every line is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.
Total cost, not lowest price
Energy-efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimized heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.
Real commissioning support
Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the line hits the specified output and quality on your material.
Spares and response
Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.
Upgrades as you grow
Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.
