HDPE extruder is used to make HDPE pipes, we have standard and high-speed HDPE extruder, their capacity, L/D, gearbox are different.

High-speed HDPE extruder is the new generation of standard single screw extruder, now many clients would like to choose high torque HDPE extruder to make HDPE solid pipes, as it saves power compare with the same quality of standard HDPE extruder.

Benk HDPE extruder starts from 25mm to 150mm, for high-speed extruder it starts from 50mm to 120mm.

HDPE extruder is used to produce high-density PE pipes, and the melting point is from 160-200degress when we use our HDPE extruder, we need to heating it up to HDPE melting point.

HDPE extruder also needs other machines to produce high-density polyethylene, like die head, vacuum tank, cooling tank, tractor, cutter, stacker or winder. Benk will choose the most suitable the size of HDPE extruder for you when he knows what outer diameter of HDPE pipe you want to produce.

HDPE extruder can be used to produce HDPE solid pipe and HDPE corrugated pipes, the solid pipe is used for water supply pipe with pressure, HDPE corrugated pipe has two types which are single wall corrugated pipe and double wall corrugated pipes.

The single wall corrugated pipe is used for threading electric pipes and double wall corrugated pipe is used on sewage.

What is an HDPE Extruder machine?

It’s a piece of industrial equipment tasked with melting, plasticizing and compounding HDPE resin with other constituents of the formula such as pigments. HDPE pellets are fed inside the extruder’s barrel housing a rotating screw. The raw materials are conveyed down a heated barrel with gradually increasing temperatures. When the final molten polymer leaves the extruder, it enters the die for shaping, then it’s subsequently cooled and calibrated by further downstream equipment.

An extruder with a longer screw L/D ratio, for instance,30:1 or 34:1 has a higher output, and since the longer length increases the residence time of the melt, it has a higher degree of homogenization.

Is there any difference between a normal-speed and high-speed HDPE extruder?

A high-speed HDPE extruder, first, has a higher production capacity.
