Production line introduction

How the SRL-Z Hot and Cold Mixer Unit is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the properties your customers actually buy.

A vertical hot and cold mixer combination for PVC dry blend, delivering homogeneous compound with a controlled cooling curve.

Every BENK line is matched to the material and product you actually sell. The extruder, die, calibration or forming section and the downstream automation are sized together, then assembled and trial run in our Zhangjiagang works before shipment, so the performance you see in the factory acceptance test is the performance you install. The machine frame is finished in RAL 5021 water blue with a semi-matt powder coating.

Technical Parameters of SRL-Z Hot and Cold Mixer Unit

Reference values for the standard configuration. Final width, thickness, speed and output are confirmed against your material, product drawing and target capacity.

Specifications are shown for the standard range; customized widths, thicknesses and outputs are engineered on request.

Production line technical advantages

Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the properties your customers buy: transparency, gauge, strength and surface.

01

Heating and mixing in one vessel

A high speed impeller generates the shear and friction that heat the compound quickly and evenly.

02

Controlled cooling

The cooling mixer brings the batch down along a controlled curve, which decides the bulk density and flow of the dry blend.

03

Discharge and weighing

Pneumatic discharge with optional batch weighing connects the mixer to the downstream extrusion line.

04

Wear resistant contact parts

Stainless steel contact surfaces and hardened mixing tools extend service life with filled compounds.

05

PLC temperature control

PLC control with a temperature curve recipe keeps batch quality reproducible.

06

RAL 5021 finish

The machine frame is powder coated in RAL 5021 water blue with a semi-matt finish.

Why buy from BENK Machinery

Extrusion specialists, not traders

BENK designs and builds extrusion lines in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R&D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.

Evidence before shipment

Every line is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.

Total cost, not lowest price

Energy-efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimized heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.

Real commissioning support

Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the line hits the specified output and quality on your material.

Spares and response

Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.

Upgrades as you grow

Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.

Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often about this mixer.

What batch size can the mixer handle?
The volume range is given in the specification table, and the mixer size is selected against the required output of the extrusion lines it feeds.
Why is a cooling mixer needed?
Cooling along a controlled curve fixes the bulk density and flow characteristics of the dry blend, which directly affects the stability of the extrusion line.
What is the difference between the horizontal and vertical types?
The horizontal SRL-W unit is more compact with a single mixing and cooling sequence, while the vertical SRL-Z combination separates the hot mixer from the cooling mixer and suits higher output lines.
Can the mixer be linked to my extruders?
Yes, discharge, conveying and batch weighing can be integrated with the feeding system of the extrusion lines.
