Production line introduction

How the COD Corrugated Bundle Pipe Production Line is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the duct properties your customers actually buy.

The COD line takes corrugated microducts from a multiple-way pay-off, forms the bundle in the shaping device and applies an HDPE jacket through a COD bundle die head with tooling for the 77 to 120 mm bundle range. The corrugated duct gives the bundle much higher crush resistance than a smooth-wall bundle of the same size.

Cooling is by a stainless steel tank set with specialised surface treatment, followed by dehydration drying, two-stage belt haul-off and a gantry type bundle coiler. Corrugated bundles are typically used where the duct must resist soil load in direct burial, or mechanical load in chambers and cabinets.
