Product introduction

How the PC Dripper Automatic Assembly Machine is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the performance your customers actually buy.

A pressure compensating dripper is made of three parts: a PE body, a silicone diaphragm and a cover. Assembly has to place the diaphragm accurately, weld the cover so the joint seals, and reject any part where the diaphragm is missing or misaligned.

The BENK MACHINE assembly machine is built around a rotary indexing table with labelled stations. Parts are fed from vibration bowls, positioned by a robot or pick and place unit if required, welded by laser, ultrasonic or melt depending on the dripper design, and inspected by CCD before the finished dripper is sorted. The PLC is a Siemens unit and every station is visually labelled to simplify maintenance.

Technical advantages

Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the performance your customers buy.

01

Accurate diaphragm placement

CCD vision confirms that the silicone diaphragm is present, correctly positioned and dimensionally acceptable before welding.

02

Reliable welding

Laser welding is fast and stable, and melt or ultrasonic welding can be selected according to the dripper design.

03

Automatic reject

Any dripper that fails inspection is automatically diverted, so defective parts do not reach the packing station.

04

Flexible feeding

Vibration bowl feeding with orientation, and robot handling on the online type, cope with small parts reliably.

05

Clear maintenance

Every station is labelled to match the PLC and the touch screen, which shortens fault finding.

06

Complete line

Feeding, assembly, welding, inspection and sorting are integrated in one machine.

Key benefits

  • Accurate diaphragm placement — CCD vision confirms that the silicone diaphragm is present, correctly positioned and dimensionally acceptable before welding.
  • Reliable welding — Laser welding is fast and stable, and melt or ultrasonic welding can be selected according to the dripper design.
  • Automatic reject — Any dripper that fails inspection is automatically diverted, so defective parts do not reach the packing station.
  • Flexible feeding — Vibration bowl feeding with orientation, and robot handling on the online type, cope with small parts reliably.

Built to run

Material preparation, processing and downstream handling can be integrated into one turnkey scope from a single supplier.

Process flow

Each station is matched in capacity so the machine runs at the rated output without a bottleneck.

  • Body loading into the vibration bowl
  • Orientation and feeding to the rotary table
  • Silicone diaphragm placement
  • Digital ultrasonic treatment of the diaphragm
  • Cover placement
  • Laser, melt or ultrasonic welding
  • CCD vision inspection
  • Sorting of good and rejected drippers

Applications

Typical end uses for this product, based on the applications BENK MACHINE equipment already serves worldwide.

PC dripper production

Factories making pressure compensating drippers for drip pipe.

Inline and online types

Assembly of both inline PC drippers and online PC emitters.

Subsurface systems

Drippers used in buried drip irrigation where back siphonage must be prevented.

Quality critical programmes

Where every dripper must be verified before it leaves the factory.

Options and auxiliary equipment

Configure the machine for the market you sell into. Popular additions include:

  • Recipe management with product library
  • Remote diagnostics
  • Additional camera station
  • Automatic packing after sorting
  • Reject analysis reporting
  • Extra feeder bowls for more part types

Why buy from BENK MACHINE

Extrusion specialists, not traders

BENK MACHINE designs and builds extrusion and drip irrigation equipment in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R and D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.

Evidence before shipment

Every machine is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.

Total cost, not lowest price

Energy efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimised heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.

Real commissioning support

Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the machine hits the specified output and quality on your material.

Spares and response

Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.

Upgrades as you grow

Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.
