Product introduction

How the Flat Dripper (Emitter) is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the performance your customers actually buy.

The flat dripper is the emitter inside almost every drip tape. Water enters through a fine inlet filter, passes along a labyrinth channel that dissipates pressure, and leaves through a punched outlet in the tape wall.

BENK MACHINE moulds flat drippers from virgin polyethylene on precision multi-cavity moulds, which keeps the dimensional tolerance tight and the flexibility of the part consistent. The three dimensional inlet design and the stepped teeth of the channel resist clogging and allow debris to be flushed through during operation.

Technical advantages

Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the performance your customers buy.

01

Clog resistant inlet

The three dimensional filter admits water while holding back sand and organic debris.

02

Self-cleaning channel

The stepped teeth flush particles through during operation, which reduces blockage over the season.

03

Uniform discharge

Tight moulding tolerance keeps flow variation between emitters to a minimum.

04

Virgin PE compound

A pure compound gives consistent flexibility and dimensional stability, and the material is recyclable.

05

High cavity production

Moulded on 32 to 800 cavity tools, so unit cost falls as volume rises.

06

Available as nano type

A fine-pitch nano version is available for narrow emitter spacing and dense row crops.

Key benefits

  • Clog resistant inlet — The three dimensional filter admits water while holding back sand and organic debris.
  • Self-cleaning channel — The stepped teeth flush particles through during operation, which reduces blockage over the season.
  • Uniform discharge — Tight moulding tolerance keeps flow variation between emitters to a minimum.
  • Virgin PE compound — A pure compound gives consistent flexibility and dimensional stability, and the material is recyclable.

Built to run

Material preparation, processing and downstream handling can be integrated into one turnkey scope from a single supplier.

Process flow

Each station is matched in capacity so the machine runs at the rated output without a bottleneck.

  • Resin drying
  • Injection moulding in a multi-cavity mould
  • Cooling and ejection
  • Vision inspection and sorting
  • Bulk packing
  • Feeding to the drip tape line
  • Insertion and welding into the tape
  • Punched outlet formed in the wall

Applications

Typical end uses for this product, based on the applications BENK MACHINE equipment already serves worldwide.

Seasonal field crops

Cotton, potato and vegetables that use drip tape for one season.

Greenhouse crops

Tomato, cucumber, strawberry and melon under cover.

Dense row spacing

Nano flat drippers for very close emitter spacing.

Export tape production

Tape makers supplying international buyers who specify a known emitter.

Options and auxiliary equipment

Configure the machine for the market you sell into. Popular additions include:

  • Colour coded caps per flow rate
  • Custom flow rates on request
  • Anti-drain and anti-siphon versions
  • Bulk or boxed packing options
  • Sample and pilot batches
  • Private label packing

Why buy from BENK MACHINE

Extrusion specialists, not traders

BENK MACHINE designs and builds extrusion and drip irrigation equipment in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R and D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.

Evidence before shipment

Every machine is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.

Total cost, not lowest price

Energy efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimised heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.

Real commissioning support

Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the machine hits the specified output and quality on your material.

Spares and response

Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.

Upgrades as you grow

Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.

Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often about the Flat Dripper (Emitter).

Which flow rates are available?
The standard range is 0.8, 1.0, 1.6, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and 4.0 litres per hour, with other rates made to order.
Are dual outlet drippers available?
Yes. Single hole, dual hole and middle hole versions can be moulded, and the dual hole version provides a fallback if one outlet is blocked.
What is the benefit of the nano version?
The nano flat dripper is smaller and made to a tighter tolerance, which suits the very small emitter spacing used in dense row crops.
