Product introduction

How the Round / Cylindrical Dripper is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the performance your customers actually buy.

The cylindrical or round dripper is designed for drip pipe that stays in the field for several seasons. Its flow cross section is much wider than a flat dripper, which makes it far more tolerant of suspended solids and of root intrusion.

The dripper is moulded on a full hot runner tool with imported temperature control, which gives a clean, consistent part and a short cycle. Pressure compensating versions are available where the terrain or the length of the lateral makes compensation necessary.

Technical advantages

Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the performance your customers buy.

01

Wide clog resistant channel

The turbulent flow path has a large cross section, so particles pass through instead of blocking the dripper.

02

Built for long service

A robust body and a wide channel suit pipe that stays in the ground for years.

03

Clean moulding

Full hot runner tooling with imported temperature control eliminates cold slugs and gives a consistent part.

04

Available with compensation

Pressure compensating versions hold a constant flow where elevation changes along the lateral.

05

Range of flows

One to eight litres per hour covers orchard, vineyard and row crop duty.

06

Consistent quality

Each batch is produced on a controlled mould with a defined cycle, so performance does not drift between deliveries.

Key benefits

  • Wide clog resistant channel — The turbulent flow path has a large cross section, so particles pass through instead of blocking the dripper.
  • Built for long service — A robust body and a wide channel suit pipe that stays in the ground for years.
  • Clean moulding — Full hot runner tooling with imported temperature control eliminates cold slugs and gives a consistent part.
  • Available with compensation — Pressure compensating versions hold a constant flow where elevation changes along the lateral.

Built to run

Material preparation, processing and downstream handling can be integrated into one turnkey scope from a single supplier.

Process flow

Each station is matched in capacity so the machine runs at the rated output without a bottleneck.

  • Resin drying and dosing
  • Injection into the hot runner mould
  • Holding and cooling
  • Ejection
  • Vision inspection
  • Bulk packing
  • Feeding to the drip pipe line
  • Insertion and welding into the pipe wall

Applications

Typical end uses for this product, based on the applications BENK MACHINE equipment already serves worldwide.

Orchards and vineyards

Permanent plantings where the pipe remains in position for years.

Long laterals

Blocks where friction loss along the line is significant.

Recycled water sources

Water carrying some suspended solids, where a wide flow path tolerates them.

Sloping ground

Sites where a pressure compensating version keeps the flow uniform.

Options and auxiliary equipment

Configure the machine for the market you sell into. Popular additions include:

  • Colour coded caps per flow rate
  • Custom flow rates on request
  • Anti-drain and anti-siphon versions
  • Bulk or boxed packing options
  • Sample and pilot batches
  • Private label packing

Why buy from BENK MACHINE

Extrusion specialists, not traders

BENK MACHINE designs and builds extrusion and drip irrigation equipment in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R and D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.

Evidence before shipment

Every machine is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.

Total cost, not lowest price

Energy efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimised heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.

Real commissioning support

Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the machine hits the specified output and quality on your material.

Spares and response

Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.

Upgrades as you grow

Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.

Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often about the Round / Cylindrical Dripper.

Why is the cylindrical dripper more clog resistant?
The turbulent flow path has a much larger cross section than a flat dripper, so sand and organic particles pass through rather than lodging in the channel.
How long does the mould last?
The moulds are warranted for five million shots or more, and the hot runner system uses imported temperature control.
Is a pressure compensating version available?
Yes. Both non-compensating and pressure compensating cylindrical drippers can be supplied.
