Product introduction

How the Pressure Compensating Drip Pipe Production Line is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the performance your customers actually buy.

A pressure compensating dripper contains a silicone diaphragm that deforms as line pressure rises, closing the flow path just enough to keep the discharge constant. The result is a lateral that delivers the same flow at the first and the last dripper, even on long runs or sloping ground.

Pressure compensating pipe is specified for high value crops and for terrain where a conventional dripper would over-irrigate the top of the block and under-irrigate the bottom. The line is built around a heavy wall extruder, a high precision insertion unit, servo punching and full online inspection, and many designs are self-cleaning and anti-siphon.

Technical advantages

Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the performance your customers buy.

01

Constant flow under varying pressure

The diaphragm compensates automatically, so every dripper discharges the same volume along the lateral.

02

Ideal for long and sloping runs

Compensation removes the need to shorten laterals on undulating blocks or long runs.

03

Self-cleaning design

The turbulent flow channel and precision inlet filter flush debris through the dripper during operation.

04

Anti-drain and anti-siphon options

On anti-drain models flow stops at low pressure, which prevents soil from being drawn back into the dripper.

05

High precision insertion

The insertion and welding station is servo controlled, holding emitter spacing and orientation within tight limits.

06

Full inspection

Perforation quality and dripper spacing are checked online, with automatic correction available.

Key benefits

  • Constant flow under varying pressure — The diaphragm compensates automatically, so every dripper discharges the same volume along the lateral.
  • Ideal for long and sloping runs — Compensation removes the need to shorten laterals on undulating blocks or long runs.
  • Self-cleaning design — The turbulent flow channel and precision inlet filter flush debris through the dripper during operation.
  • Anti-drain and anti-siphon options — On anti-drain models flow stops at low pressure, which prevents soil from being drawn back into the dripper.

Built to run

Material preparation, processing and downstream handling can be integrated into one turnkey scope from a single supplier.

Process flow

Each station is matched in capacity so the machine runs at the rated output without a bottleneck.

  • Resin dosing and blending
  • Heavy wall extrusion
  • Die head and vacuum sizing
  • PC dripper feed and orientation
  • Dripper insertion and welding
  • Servo punching
  • Full online inspection
  • Automatic winding and packing

Applications

Typical end uses for this product, based on the applications BENK MACHINE equipment already serves worldwide.

Sloping and hilly fields

Blocks with large elevation change where pressure varies along the lateral.

Long lateral runs

Fields where laterals are long enough that friction loss would otherwise matter.

High value crops

Orchards, vineyards, berries and vegetables where uniformity directly affects yield.

Buried installation

Subsurface drip where the dripper must resist root intrusion and back siphonage.

Options and auxiliary equipment

Configure the machine for the market you sell into. Popular additions include:

  • Automatic reel change robot
  • Online optical inspection with auto correction
  • Gravimetric blender with extrusion process control
  • Bimetallic screw and barrel
  • Melt pump for stable pressure
  • Remote maintenance and fault diagnosis

Why buy from BENK MACHINE

Extrusion specialists, not traders

BENK MACHINE designs and builds extrusion and drip irrigation equipment in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R and D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.

Evidence before shipment

Every machine is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.

Total cost, not lowest price

Energy efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimised heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.

Real commissioning support

Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the machine hits the specified output and quality on your material.

Spares and response

Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.

Upgrades as you grow

Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.

Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often about the Pressure Compensating Drip Pipe Production Line.

What flow uniformity can be expected?
Pressure compensating drippers hold a coefficient of variation of about 3 percent, with a flow index as low as 0.04, so discharge stays almost constant across a wide pressure band.
Are anti-drain versions available?
Yes. Anti-drain or anti-siphon models stop the flow when the system pressure falls to between 0.01 and 0.03 MPa.
Can the pipe be buried?
Yes, the PC pipe is suitable for surface laying and for buried installation, and the self-cleaning channel helps resist root and soil intrusion.
