Product introduction

How the Labyrinth Drip Tape Production Line is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the performance your customers actually buy.

Labyrinth or single wing tape is the earliest and still the most economical form of drip tape. A forming wheel presses the maze channel into the wall while the tube is still soft, so the flow path is created without any inserted emitter.

The investment is lower and the line is simpler to operate than an inline dripper line, which makes it a good entry point for producers serving local markets. The forming wheel and the maze insert determine the accuracy of the channel, so BENK MACHINE machines the tooling and grades the surface finish in house.

Technical advantages

Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the performance your customers buy.

01

Low investment

Fewer sub assemblies than an inline dripper line, so the entry cost is lower.

02

Simple operation

The process is easy to run and maintain, which suits producers new to drip tape.

03

Economical raw material

The specially designed screw processes regrind efficiently, reducing resin cost per metre.

04

Precision tooling

The forming wheel and maze insert are machined in house to keep the channel accurate.

05

Uniform water distribution

The maze channel is designed for even distribution and good clogging resistance.

06

Complete line supply

Feeding, extrusion, forming, haul-off, winding and PLC control are supplied as one package.

Key benefits

  • Low investment — Fewer sub assemblies than an inline dripper line, so the entry cost is lower.
  • Simple operation — The process is easy to run and maintain, which suits producers new to drip tape.
  • Economical raw material — The specially designed screw processes regrind efficiently, reducing resin cost per metre.
  • Precision tooling — The forming wheel and maze insert are machined in house to keep the channel accurate.

Built to run

Material preparation, processing and downstream handling can be integrated into one turnkey scope from a single supplier.

Process flow

Each station is matched in capacity so the machine runs at the rated output without a bottleneck.

  • Resin dosing
  • Extrusion and filtration
  • Tube forming through the die
  • Maze channel forming on the wheel
  • Vacuum sizing and cooling
  • Haul-off and tension control
  • Outlet punching
  • Winding and packing

Applications

Typical end uses for this product, based on the applications BENK MACHINE equipment already serves worldwide.

Cereal and row crops

Seasonal field irrigation where cost per hectare is the main driver.

Vegetables

Open field vegetable production on small and medium farms.

Orchards

Tree and vine irrigation where a thin economical tape is acceptable.

Local market supply

Producers serving domestic markets with a low cost tape.

Options and auxiliary equipment

Configure the machine for the market you sell into. Popular additions include:

  • Automatic reel change robot
  • Online optical inspection with auto correction
  • Gravimetric blender with extrusion process control
  • Bimetallic screw and barrel
  • Melt pump for stable pressure
  • Remote maintenance and fault diagnosis

Why buy from BENK MACHINE

Extrusion specialists, not traders

BENK MACHINE designs and builds extrusion and drip irrigation equipment in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R and D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.

Evidence before shipment

Every machine is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.

Total cost, not lowest price

Energy efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimised heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.

Real commissioning support

Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the machine hits the specified output and quality on your material.

Spares and response

Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.

Upgrades as you grow

Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.

Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often about the Labyrinth Drip Tape Production Line.

How does a labyrinth line differ from an inline dripper line?
The maze channel is formed directly in the tape wall, so no separate dripper is moulded or inserted. The line is simpler and cheaper, but the flow path is fixed by the forming wheel.
How many lanes can be produced at once?
Up to four extrusion lanes can be run from one head, depending on the tape size and the output you require.
Can regrind be used?
Yes. The screw design tolerates a high proportion of regrind, which is one of the main cost advantages of this process.
