Product introduction

How the Round Dripper Mould is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the performance your customers actually buy.

Round or cylindrical drippers are larger than flat drippers and need a mould with deeper cavities and a carefully balanced hot runner. The part must be dimensionally accurate because it is welded into the pipe wall and has to seal against the pipe bore.

BENK MACHINE builds round dripper moulds in full hot runner configuration with imported temperature control, so the shot is clean and the cycle is short. Both standard and pressure compensating dripper designs can be tooled, including the more complex geometries needed for diaphragm compensation.

Technical advantages

Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the performance your customers buy.

01

Full hot runner

Imported temperature control keeps the melt uniform and removes cold slugs from the shot.

02

Deep cavity capability

Five axis machining and EDM produce the deeper, more complex cavity forms that round drippers need.

03

Pressure compensating designs

Tools for diaphragm type PC drippers are designed around the compensation geometry, not adapted from a standard part.

04

Accurate sealing surfaces

Cavity finish and dimensional accuracy ensure the dripper seals correctly when welded into the pipe.

05

Warranted life

Moulds carry a warranty of five million shots or more.

06

Complete support

Hot runner spares, cavity replacement and service are available for the life of the tool.

Key benefits

  • Full hot runner — Imported temperature control keeps the melt uniform and removes cold slugs from the shot.
  • Deep cavity capability — Five axis machining and EDM produce the deeper, more complex cavity forms that round drippers need.
  • Pressure compensating designs — Tools for diaphragm type PC drippers are designed around the compensation geometry, not adapted from a standard part.
  • Accurate sealing surfaces — Cavity finish and dimensional accuracy ensure the dripper seals correctly when welded into the pipe.

Built to run

Material preparation, processing and downstream handling can be integrated into one turnkey scope from a single supplier.

Why buy from BENK MACHINE

Extrusion specialists, not traders

BENK MACHINE designs and builds extrusion and drip irrigation equipment in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R and D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.

Evidence before shipment

Every machine is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.

Total cost, not lowest price

Energy efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimised heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.

Real commissioning support

Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the machine hits the specified output and quality on your material.

Spares and response

Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.

Upgrades as you grow

Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.

Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often about the Round Dripper Mould.

Why does a round dripper mould cost more than a flat dripper mould?
The cavity is deeper and more complex, and the tool runs a full hot runner, so more machining time and a more expensive hot runner system are required.
Can the mould produce pressure compensating drippers?
Yes. Tools for diaphragm type pressure compensating drippers are designed around the specific compensation geometry of the part.
What is the cycle time?
The typical cycle for a round dripper mould is twelve to thirteen seconds, depending on the part and the machine.
