Product introduction

How the Flat Dripper Mould is engineered, and which sub-assemblies protect the performance your customers actually buy.

The flat dripper mould determines the accuracy of every emitter the tape line will use, so it is the most critical tooling in a drip irrigation factory. Cavity count sets the unit cost, and cavity balance sets the flow consistency between emitters.

BENK MACHINE designs and manufactures flat dripper moulds from 32 up to 800 cavities. The tooling is cut on five axis machining centres, Swiss high speed engravers and wire EDM, and each cavity is checked so the flow deviation between cavities stays under four percent. Single hole, dual hole and middle hole dripper designs are all supported.

Technical advantages

Every sub-assembly below is selected to protect the performance your customers buy.

01

High cavity counts

Tools up to 800 cavities reduce the unit cost of every emitter produced.

02

Balanced hot runner

The manifold is designed so every cavity fills at the same rate, which keeps flow deviation below four percent.

03

Precision machining

Five axis machining centres, Swiss high speed engravers and wire EDM hold the dimensional tolerance the dripper needs.

04

Proven steel

Swedish S136H tool steel at HRC 50 to 52 gives a long cavity life.

05

Warranted life

Each mould carries a warranty of five to ten million shots depending on configuration.

06

Matched to the machine

The mould is specified together with the injection machine, so shot weight and clamping force are correct from the start.

Key benefits

  • High cavity counts — Tools up to 800 cavities reduce the unit cost of every emitter produced.
  • Balanced hot runner — The manifold is designed so every cavity fills at the same rate, which keeps flow deviation below four percent.
  • Precision machining — Five axis machining centres, Swiss high speed engravers and wire EDM hold the dimensional tolerance the dripper needs.
  • Proven steel — Swedish S136H tool steel at HRC 50 to 52 gives a long cavity life.

Built to run

Material preparation, processing and downstream handling can be integrated into one turnkey scope from a single supplier.

Why buy from BENK MACHINE

Extrusion specialists, not traders

BENK MACHINE designs and builds extrusion and drip irrigation equipment in Zhangjiagang with an in-house R and D and process team, so machine selection is matched to your resin and product instead of a catalogue number.

Evidence before shipment

Every machine is assembled and run in our works. You receive trial video, gauge and output records, and are welcome to attend the factory acceptance test.

Total cost, not lowest price

Energy efficient drives, permanent magnet motors and optimised heating reduce kWh per tonne, which usually matters more over five years than the initial purchase price.

Real commissioning support

Our engineers install, commission, train your operators and stay involved until the machine hits the specified output and quality on your material.

Spares and response

Critical spares are stocked for fast dispatch, and the Siemens Ethernet control platform allows remote diagnosis before a service visit is needed.

Upgrades as you grow

Co-extrusion, gauge control, automation and downstream equipment can be added later, protecting your original investment.

Frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often about the Flat Dripper Mould.

How many cavities should I choose?
Cavity count depends on your annual dripper volume and your injection machine capacity. Higher cavity counts reduce unit cost, but need a larger machine and more balanced hot runner.
What runner system is best?
Full hot runner gives the lowest scrap and the shortest cycle, semi-hot is a compromise, and cold runner has the lowest tool cost. We recommend based on your volume and machine.
How is flow consistency checked?
Each cavity is measured after trial shots, and the tool is adjusted so that flow deviation between cavities stays under four percent.
